چکیده

With the development of the mobile communication, the related technologies have gone through a rapid growing phase from 1G to 3G, until 4G. The technology evolution targets to improve the performance of overall system, and promote the related services and applications. In this paper, author makes analysis on Turbo equalization based on M-QAM modulation in OFDM system. Since Turbo equalization is an iterative receiver algorithm repeating equalization and channel decoding to improve the performance of the receiver, there researches on Turbo codes and turbo equalization have been emphasis, especially on the error-correction during these years. Due to the operations of equalization and decoding are repeated several times in one process, the computational complexity is increased in the receiver. Author aims at the cost function of CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm) to change or recreate a new algorithm, and then as a contrast with the error functions, we can see the advantages about this change. Finally, author makes simulations on the Turbo equalization based on 64-QAM in OFDM system. Compared with the Turbo equalization based on 16-QAM, the performance of Turbo equalization based on 64QAM is more efficient.

Using WPT as a New Method Instead of FFT for ‌Improving the Performance of OFDM Modulation

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is used in order to provide immunity against very hostile multipath channels in many modern communication systems.. The OFDM technique divides the total available frequency bandwidth into several narrow bands. In conventional OFDM, FFT algorithm is used to provide orthogonal subcarriers. Intersymbol interference (ISI) and intercarrier interferen...

Performance of Turbo coded OFDM wireless link for SISO, SIMO, MISO and MIMO system

This paper compares the performance of a Turbo coded OFDM wireless link for SISO, SIMO, MISO and MIMO system with uncoded OFDM wireless link for SISO, SIMO, MISO and MIMO system in the in the presence of rayleigh fading. Turbo encoder encodes the input information bits and sends to QPSK or 16 QAM or 64 QAM modulator. Modulated symbols are mapped by STBC. Outputs of STBC are split into n streams...

High Rate Coded Ofdm with Channel Equalization

We consider the use of wideband systems for the fixed pointto-point transmission of coded data with low hit-error rate requirements. A system is defined which is based (in OFDM transmission with PSK and QAM subcarrier modulation, error control coding using low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, and channel equalization to reduce intersymbol interference from a fading channel. Tradeoffs between ...

Reduced complexity in-phase/quadrature-phase M-QAM turbo equalization using iterative channel estimation

A reduced complexity trellis-based turbo equalizer known as the in-phase (I)/quadrature-phase (Q) turbo equalizer (TEQ-IQ) invoking iterative channel impulse response (CIR) estimation is proposed. The underlying principle of TEQ-IQ is based on equalizing the I and Q component of the transmitted signal independently. This requires the equalization of a reduced set of separate I and Q signal comp...

Performance of Turbo Coded Ofdm Modulation over an Aeronautical Channel

The main objectives of Integrated Network Enhanced Telemetry (iNET) are increased data rate and improved spectral efficiency. In this paper we propose the transmission scheme for the physical layer to be coded Quadrature Amplitude Modulation-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (QAM OFDM) which enables high data rates and spectrum efficiency. However in high mobility scenarios, the channe...
